From Periphery to Paradise

This dissertation examines spaces of inter-cultural encounters, and how these sites may allow various cultural alterations and liminal practices to emerge. Such fluid cultural transactions and negotiability of identities may often be facilitated by migrations and movements of people, the latter acting as drivers of social transformations. These questions are addressed in the following study.
